Micro Museus

The project of Casa da Esquina for the Anozero’17 biennial is titled Micro Museus. These sessions that investigate the concept of Performance Lecture will be presented in Jardim Botânico de Coimbra under the motto Healing and Repairing. This project does not seek to establish and determine a final product, but, rather, a process of research and construction of small personal museums. In Performance Lecture territory, they are confronted with a specific location and with the theme of the biennial, translating speech into performative practice.

Jardim Botânico was the place where the show Exercício de Botânica by Casa da Esquina — premiered in 2008 — was staged and, almost 10 years later, we now return to this space with a group of guest creators who will rehearse and live with the space during the week to present the performances on 17 and 18 November.

We engaged in the construction of this project with a group of multidisciplinary crea-tors who share their obsessions and intimate projects with us, and who, in conjunction with Jardim Botânico, start to mold the possibility of repairing their open wounds.
