JACC – Jazz ao Centro Clube
Focusing on the statement by Anozero’17, we start from a perception of the world as a “broken machine”, which also communicates through the sounds it produces. It is in the willingness to stop, notice, listen, that we find a possible rebalancing. It is a search to be in tune, not only for instruments and voices (the raw material of musical creation) but also for desire to find a sense of the primordial that will lead to an internal fine-tuning of the soul, through the commitment to listening – to the world and the Other. This is the basis of the programme offered by Jazz ao Centro Clube. This is the challenge that runs through Luís Vincente’s solo, the trumpeter who searches for the hidden meaning of sounds turned into music and emotion, the spiritual work of Laraaji, Stimmung, from Stockhausen, performed by Coro Gulbenkian, or the pedagogic show Perder o chão, which evokes the memory of Pauline Oliveros and the possibilities of deep listening.
