Architectonica Percepta

The exhibition Architectonica Percepta arises from the book Architectonica Percepta. Texts and images 1989-2015 and from the presentation of a set of photographs by the photographer Alberto Plácido and texts and project designs by the architect Paulo Providência. The book, published in 2016 by the Swiss publisher Park Books, brings together seven architectural projects by Paulo Providência, illustrated with black and white photographs by Alberto Plácido: Lavadouros de São Nicolau, Casa Taipas, Igreja do Convento Dominicano, Oficinas do Teatro Nacional de São João, Centro de Saúde de Vila do Conde, Casa na Maia and Igreja de São Salvador de Figueiredo. In addition to these seven projects, the book presents a set of six essays that reveal Paulo Providência’s way of thinking and his reference points.
